Our local coffee roasters

Madeleine café collaborates with different local coffee roasters. Our home blend, decaf coffee and other single origin coffees are produced at TORPEDO, an organic coffee roaster in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, in the canton of Fribourg.

After ten years of experience in the coffee and coffee machine industries, Lucie – founder of TORPEDO – wants to return to an artisanal product, with uncompromising quality. In 2018, she created the organic specialty coffee brand Rock a Bean and founded TORPEDO Coffee Institute in Jean Tinguely’s mythical workshop in La Verrerie.

Mastering every phase of coffee processing, from the selection of the green bean, to the extraction parameters of the machines will allow you to enjoy a coffee of excellent quality.

We have also recently started a collaboration with Café Oli and Toj Balam, both local roasters offering very tasty single origins!

Our madeleines

A revisited madeleine that combines tradition and modernity, taste and sense? Gluten and lactose free? And all made with love in French-speaking Switzerland?

It seems almost impossible but the Boss of Galatà has succeeded! Our collaboration allows you to come and taste these little wonders directly on site at madeleine café. Our assortment is composed of the madeleine nature, choco, maple & pecan and tea “Nos Amours”. We also have a madeleine of the month created with seasonal products.
